Charlie Austin sends Twitter message as West Brom permanent exit finally complete

Charlie Austin finally sealed his permanent West Brom exit on Wednesday afternoon as his move to Queens Park Rangers was confirmed.

35The Baggies are finally starting to clear out some of the deadwood at The Hawthorns, as they look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Austin spent the second half of last season at Loftus Road in the Championship, after being snubbed by both Slaven Bilic and Sam Allardyce.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, it was no surprise to see Austin celebrate his move in a message with no mention of the Albion.

“So pleased to finally get this deal done,” he wrote.

“It’s something that I’ve wanted to happen since arriving back at the club.

“Queens Park Rangers means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to play in front of the home fans again.”
Retained list.
We all know that Austin would have been leaving once his contract expired and that this would have been his likely move given his long-standing links.
The move happened very quickly, too, making us believe that this one had been agreed before our actual retained list was released six days ago.
This is the big step that was needed to be made.
Hal Robson-Kanu, Sam Field and Kamil Grosicki are among the senior players to be leaving and freeing up their big wages to be used elsewhere in the window.
Whoever comes in next will be thanking their lucky stars that they won’t have to deal with these types of players who spend most of the time on the bench and make little impact.
Farewell, this chapter is officially closed.
