Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic spotted wearing West Brom gear in summer training

Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic spent one-and-a-half seasons on loan at West Brom and still appears to be a huge fan.

The Croatian was recalled from his loan at the Hawthorns in January and was immediately loaned to Nottingham Forest for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

Krovinovic is currently back with the Portuguese giants and has been pictured on Twitter training in West Brom shorts.

The 25-year-old clearly still loves the club, and while things did not work in his second season, he could be open to a return if the new manager would give him assurances of regular playing opportunities.

Krovinovic wants to come home?

Krovinovic played a huge role in helping the Baggies secure promotion to the Premier League in 2019-20, scoring thrice and assisting twice in 40 Championship games.

He struggled to impress in the Premier League, though, starting just five games and coming off the bench six times.

Benfica were not pleased with the development, cutting short his second loan spell with us and sending him back to the Championship.

He ended up making 19 appearances for Forest, scoring once and assisting twice.

Trying to secure an immediate return to the top-flight is our only target for next season, and we could do with Krovinovic right now.

He clearly knows his way around the division, and with first-team opportunities not likely available at Benfica, a return to West Brom makes sense.

The attacker has the quality and experience to help us earn instant promotion, and the incoming manager should be looking at such a player.

He is sending a message to the club with the social media post, and it is now up to them to respond.
