Chelsea sign West Brom youth talent Kiano Dyer
Chelsea have signed young West Brom talent Kiano Dyer, according to The Secret Scout.
The reliable social media account, which has over 79,000 Instagram followers and over 24,000 Twitter followers, has uploaded an image of Dyer signing a contract at Chelsea after starting leaving the West Brom academy.
The Secret Scout, which is followed by Albion coach James Morrison, reports that Dyer will play for Chelsea’s Under-15s next season
What’s the point of our academy?
West Brom’s academy does one thing – bolsters the numbers of players in other academies across the UK and even Europe.
We’ve seen it time and time again over the years how the Baggies have been unable to keep hold of youthful talent due to the ridiculous rules that allows other clubs to make approaches and offer contracts.
Louie Barry, Morgan Rogers, Yan Dhanda, Izzy Brown and Jerome Sinclair are among those who have been poached over the years to join teams like Manchester City, Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea.
Dyer is the latest to swap the Black Country for London, clearly joining up with Chelsea based on the image The Secret Scout has shared on their reputable Instagram account.
Luke Dowling, who left The Hawthorns this week, may have caused irreparable damage to the youth system at the Baggies due to him alienating staff members and shutting off the academy and Under-23s squad from the first team.
Stephen Hopcroft, who left West Brom’s academy recruitment team to join Aston Villa, hit out at Dowling after he left the Albion in a clear show of what people thought of the now-former sporting and technical director.
In other West Brom news, there’s been an update on speculation linking Tony Pulis with a shock return.
