West Brom intend to target at least four quality additions this summer

West Brom are preparing for life back in the Championship, with an instant return to the Premier League on their mind.

According to The Telegraph, the Baggies are looking to make major squad changes capable of inspiring their promotion push, and intend ‘to target at least four quality additions.’

Promotion chances boosted

We have seen players leave after relegation was confirmed, with Branislav Ivanovic, Charlie Austin, Hal Robson-Kanu, Kieran Gibbs and Kamil Grosicki not getting new deals, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Conor Gallagher, Okay Yokuslu and Mbaye Diagne returned to their clubs after impressive loan spells.

West Brom relied heavily on a lot of them last season, and a huge rebuilding job is on the cards.

Ismael has been assured of funds to spend [The Telegraph], and we have to give kudos to the board if they hold up their end of the deal.

No one knows which players would be coming in, but we have recently been linked with Blackpool striker Jerry Yates and who is said to be valued at £5million [The Sun].

The 24-year-old scored 21 League One goals and eight assists in 47 games last season to help the Seasiders secure Championship promotion, and could be a suitable option to lead our line.

West Brom could do with another quality goalkeeper and midfielders too, and Valerien can be expected to make the right signings that fit his system.

With a lot of quality Premier League youngsters in need of playing opportunities as usual, some loan moves are expected too, and we can only hope the stars align in our bid to seal an immediate Premier League comeback.
