Valerien Ismael has signed a new four-year deal as West Brom manager

Valerien Ismael has signed a new four-year deal to join West Brom as their manager, leaving fellow Championship outfit Barnsley to link up with the promotion hopefuls.

Here is how Sky Sports broke the news.

Ismael was one of the earlier candidates linked with succeeding Sam Allardyce at the Hawthorns, and while his release clause initially put them off, the club finally agreed to part with it, with an official announcement now finally confirmed.

The deal was thrashed out last weekend and the finer details was eventually ironed out after some days.

West Brom need someone capable of taking them up at the first time of asking, and we have no doubt that Ismael is perfect for the job.

A four-year deal is massive, and we hope that he can guide and keep us up after last term’s disappointment.
