Filip Krovinovic has been spotted with West Brom superstar Matheus Pereira this week as the off-season comes to a close.
The Baggies will start their pre-season next week, although it is uncertain whether the Brazilian will be present.
Valerien Ismael will know that some of his better players will attract plenty of interest after relegation from the Premier League.
Krovinovic and Pereira were best friends during their times together at West Brom, and both will likely know his next destination.
Writing on his personal Instagram account, the Croatian shared the image while away in Portugal, Lisbon to be precise.
Together again.
This is a bond that will likely never be broken.
We have everything crossed that we can somehow hold on to Pereira this summer, but everyone expects him to leave for some big money.
With this likely the last week of his holidays, we eagerly await the video on social media of players returning for those pre-season tests.
Leeds and Aston Villa are among the clubs linked with a move, and it would be no surprise to see him stay in the Premier League, he showed he has the class for that.
Pereira is far too good for the Championship, but Krovinovic is one who could have been ideal at this stage, with our midfield shockingly weak.
Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers are our two most senior options after loan players left, and we can’t bear another season of those two together.
We would happily swap them two for the duo pictured above in a heartbeat, but the realist inside us tells us that is impossible.
