West Brom fans have given their reactions to the new 2021/22 home kit that was officially announced by the club earlier this week.
Albion released a statement on their website on Friday [July 2] confirming that the new home kit was now on sale ahead of the club’s return to the Championship.
Alongside it were images of first-team stars in the new strip, including Kyle Bartley and Callum Robinson, as also seen on their official Twitter account.
The kit made was a marked difference from previous seasons with the traditional blue and white strips given a new look, with the middle stripe much thicker than usual.
This was Albion’s explanation of the new strip: “The central blue stripe carries the first verse of Psalm 23 [The Lord’s My Shepherd] which Albion fans have sung from terraces far and wide for decades.
“The words are woven into the fabric of the football club and now, for the first time, they are woven into the fabric of the club’s home shirt.”
We aske our esteemed panel of Super Fans what they thought of the club’s decision to freshen up the design in the new kit.
Here’s what they had to say…

For balance, not everyone was completely against the new-look strip.
Some fans viewed it as a minor issue, while others were happy to begin a new chapter in a new kit.
However, the overwhelming majority were firmly against it.
Changing tradition seems to have become the norm for football clubs these days, with Southampton a famous example of a club who stirred controversy among fans after moving away from stripes to a red sashe.
They eventually reverted to type, and we can see Albion doing the same in the next few years.
In other West Brom news, Albion reportedly held June transfer talks over the return of a fans favourite.
