West Brom have a deal in progress to try and re-sign Okay Yokuslu from Celta Vigo this summer, according to AS.

The Spanish news outlet claims Yokuslu, 27, is open to returning to the Baggies even though they were relegated to the Championship during his loan spell at The Hawthorns last season.

It is understood that Watford are also interested in the Turkey international and could hand him a second chance in the Premier League.

AS adds that Celta Vigo are desperately trying to sell Yokuslu so they can free up funds to sign new players.

The defensive midfielder is reportedly available for £4.2million.

No-brainer

West Brom really need to up their game in the transfer market because Valerien Ismael's squad is still very under-prepared for the season ahead.

While the addition of Matt Clarke at centre-back and Alex Mowatt in the midfield are decent ones, Ismael's midfield is still a major concern.

Yokuslu, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Conor Gallagher all left at the end of last season when their loan deals expired.

As mentioned, Mowatt has come in but as it stands, Albion fans face the prospect of seeing Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers starting next season in the Championship.

As we saw last season, Yokuslu can do a really fine job at The Hawthorns and we'd love to see him back in our midfield.

For £4.2million, it seems like a no-brainer but obviously, his wages also have to come into consideration while Watford's interest could also pose a threat.
