West Brom Super Fans react to major transfer update on Okay Yokuslu

The return of Okay Yokuslu to West Brom could be back on after a recent report from Spanish news outlet AS, and it’s got Baggies bouncing.

It is claimed that the West Midlands club have a deal in progress to try and re-sign the 27-year-old Turkey international, who spent the second half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan at The Hawthorns from Celta Vigo.

The La Liga outfit are prepared to sanction his sale for £4.2million this summer, and the central midfielder is open to an Albion return, though Premier League new boys Watford are also in the hunt to sign him.

West Brom fans have reacted to the report in a pretty unanimous fashion – they want to see Yokuslu return to The Hawthorns this summer after an impressive loan spell last season.

The 2020/21 campaign wasn’t kind on Albion, and there were few highlights to hold onto.

A combination of being leaky at the back and stuttering in front of goal was disastrous, but the second half of the season saw some impressive displays in the middle of midfield, at least.

Yokuslu and Ainsley Maitland-Niles joined season-long loanee Conor Gallagher midway through the season, and the duo had an instant impact.

A formidable trio was formed in midfield, with Yokuslu particularly impressive in breaking up play.

However, all three players returned to their parent clubs at the conclusion of the campaign, and there appears no chance of Gallagher or Maitland-Niles coming back from Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea, respectively.

However, West Brom fans would be more than happy just to see Yokuslu in an Albion shirt again.
