West Brom want Al Hilal to raise Matheus Pereira offer by £8.5m
West Brom are determined to receive at least £21.3million for Matheus Pereira after Al Hilal’s bid fell way short of their valuation, according to Goal.
The online news outlet claims the Saudi Arabian side’s £12.8million offer, requested by their Venezuelan-born Portuguese manager Leonardo Jardim, will not be increased, and they have been placed on “stand by” while the West Midlands club looks for better proposals.
Al Hilal made a favourable salary offer to the 25-year-old, as per Goal’s report, but Albion want more money for the Brazilian amid considerable Premier League interest.

Still too cheap?
According to Goal, West Brom want at least £21.3million for Pereira, which means Al Hilal would have to raise their offer by £8.5million in order to land the Brazilian attacker.
There have been conflicting reports surrounding his valuation, but a price that seems to have stuck is £30million, something backed up by ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco via his personal Twitter profile on Tuesday night [27/07/21].
This latest update from Goal suggests a lower price could be accepted by West Brom, but that appears to be a last resort, while it could merely just be to a foreign team.

That could be the ideal scenario for the Albion, as it will be a painful sight to see Pereira in another English side’s shirt.
He seems to be open to the idea of a move to the Middle East, so a deal cannot be ruled out.
However, it sounds as if Al Hilal are steadfast in their refusal to increase their bid, which surely starts to knock them out of the running.
