West Brom poised to complete Adam Reach deal

West Brom are poised to complete the signing of free-agent Adam Reach, according to Birmingham Live.

The report suggests that the former Sheffield Wednesday winger will become Valerien Ismael’s fourth signing of the summer.

Reach can play at left-wing back as well as the final third, and will offer serious competition at The Hawthorns.

It is suggested that Reach will be the next new face to be introduced to the squad at the training ground this week.

That could hint that the announcement of the signing could be imminent as we complete more business ahead of the Championship.

Completing the deal this weekend would give Reach a full week of training as we prepare the season opener at Bournemouth.

Blackburn were also interested, but it appears as though the Baggies have won the race for another free transfer.

Done deal.

It appears as though everything has been sorted.

Reach isn’t a name that will instantly get you out of your seat, but it is certainly smart business from Ismael and the Baggies.

The Frenchman demands high intensity, and you need good squad depth, and Reach has perfect Championship experience for that.

Our bench against Watford featured numerous youth prospects, and while we want to see them breakthrough, you need experience for promotion.

Reach has been a household name for the Owls in recent years, but their financial trouble and relegation opened the door for him to leave for nothing.

We are set to take advantage of that, and there can’t be many complaints with that.
