Al Hilal in advanced talks to sign West Brom ace, personal terms agreed

Al Hilal are into advanced negotiations with West Brom to sign Matheus Pereira, claims Fabrizio Romano.

According to the Sky Sports journalist, the Brazilian has already agreed on personal terms with the club and he’s pushing for a move to the Saudi Arabian club.

Manager Leonardo Jardim is also keen on signing the 25-year-old and the club expect to get the deal completed in a few hours.

Speaking on his Twitch platform, Romano said, “Matheus Pereira is close to joining Al Hilal. He’s in advanced talks with them and there is an agreement on personal terms.

“Currently, there’s some working between the two clubs to complete the agreement to fix details on the final fee.

“Matheus Pereira pushing to join. Leonardo Jardim keen on working with him.

“If everything will be completed in a few hours, it will be very good for Al Hilal. A huge loss for the Premier League as few clubs wanted to sign him.”

Need a big transfer fee

Al Hilal are understood to be a club with a heavy financial muscle and we’re hoping that they match our previous valuation of the player which is understood to be in the region of £25million. [The Daily Mail]

We’ve known for a while that the player wasn’t keen on staying and the sooner we have him off the books the better.

Yes, it would be a huge loss and our side will undoubtedly be weakened without him, but it makes little sense to keep players who don’t have their mind and heart at the club.

We believe that Valerien Ismael’s made the right decision to keep him away from the squad and we back him to succeed next season.

Hopefully, the club free up some funds to help him rope him in a few more names before the window shuts as promotion has to be the priority and we must be in the strongest possible position to achieve it.
