Watford club want to sign Matheus Pereira on loan
Watford are keen on bringing West Brom attacker Matheus Pereira to Vicarage Road this summer, according to The Daily Mail.
Baggies manager Valerien Ismael has ostracised the Brazilian this pre season and claimed that the 25-year-old wasn’t committed to representing the club. [Shropshire Star]
Recently, Pereira hit back at Ismael’s claims on Twitter and stated that he wants out of the Hawthorns this summer.
Shouldn’t do a loan
Watford may be wanting him on loan, but under no circumstances should we even consider letting him leave on a temporary basis.
Regardless of his commitment to the cause, he still is our prized asset and his sale would generate funds that would help us reinvest in the squad and get back to the Premier League.
Going out on loan may see his value plummet should he have an underwhelming year and the brunt of that will be suffered by the club.

The Mail state we’re unlikely to consider any offer made under £25million for him which is precisely the stance we should hold as there is a reasonable market for him and we shouldn’t be bullied into lowering our valuation for him.
It’s certainly going to take a gargantuan effort to replace the 25-year-old as he contributed to scoring goals as well as creating chances – making him a complete attacker.
He’s likely to succeed wherever he goes as he managed to shine all through last season, but we must be compensated well enough and shouldn’t settle for anything less.
