This is what Don Goodman thinks of his West Brom nickname

Don Goodman was once again on Sky Sports commentary last night as West Brom started their Championship season.

The Baggies drew 2-2 against Bournemouth as the Valerien Ismael era got underway with an impressive performance.

Social media was flooded with Albion fans labelling Goodman as “Dingle Don” once again, but what does he think about that?

Chris Lepkowski has responded to that, sharing inside information from one of his personal connections.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lepkowski shared that Goodman finds this so-called nickname “ridiculous”.

“He doesn’t hate us,” he wrote.

“I know the bloke. He thinks this perception of him is ridiculous. And he is right.”

Here he is.

Goodman has always been one of those names who simply doesn’t bode well at The Hawthorns.

His commentary wasn’t the worst in the draw against Bournemouth, and he actually sided with us more times than not.

When Callum Robinson saw a goal disallowed in the first half due to a supposed foul on Mark Travers, he disagreed and insisted it should have counted.

He is surely used to it by now, and will likely have to put up with it for yet another season as we look to leave the Championship at the first time of asking.

Lepkowski is often not far away from Baggies’ matters on his social media channels and gives great inside information such as this one.

Everyone knows he doesn’t support Wolves, but his work in the past has left many questioning that.
