Kyle Edwards posts emotional West Brom farewell messages

Kyle Edwards has taken to social media to bid his West Brom goodbyes after officially signing for Ipswich Town on Monday.

The 23-year-old’s contract at The Hawthorns expired earlier this summer and he went on trial at various clubs before the Tractor Boys announced his signature today.

Despite his exit being made obvious months ago, the Dudley-born forward decided to pay tribute on his personal Twitter profile to all those affiliated with Albion after taking the next step in his career.

One of our own

It’s great to see that Edwards hasn’t forgotten his roots and was quick to thank those that have helped him become the player he is today.

He may not have developed as much as many expected by this age, but there is still stardust in those boots and signing for a club as historically big as Ipswich is still a major move for the winger.

West Brom clearly hold a huge place in his heart with his social media profiles pictures still dedicated to his time at Albion, while he posted his goodbyes to the club before making any comment on his move to the League One club.

Hopefully, he can now kick on and show everyone what he is all about in the third-tier and work his way back up the divisions.

We still think there is Premier League talent in him, he just needs an opportunity and a run of games to prove himself.

Who knows, with the affection he still obviously has for the club, maybe there will be a reunion later down the line.
