Dara O’Shea: Alex Mowatt was everywhere v Bournemouth
Dara O’Shea was pleased with Alex Mowatt as West Brom shared the spoils with Bournemouth last weekend.
Mowatt moved to the Hawthorns this summer and put in a terrific performance on the opening day of the season.
His efforts were undoubtedly appreciated by the fans, but O’Shea singled out the player for special praise in a recent interview.

Express and Star quoted him as saying, “Alex was everywhere at Bournemouth.
“He is a great signing. He has fitted right into the group, it’s like he was always here.
“He has played under the gaffer previously so he can add in the dressing room what the gaffer wants from us. I think he has been a really positive signing and is great to have around.”
Impressive
Seeing a drastic change in our style of play on Friday night was refreshing and Mowatt’s performances certainly stood out in that game.
The new signing started in midfield with Jake Livermore and ran the show from start to end. He registered touches all over the pitch and always looked like he was trying to make something happen.

He ended the night with an assist to his name, but his three key passes suggest that he could’ve had another that would’ve possibly won us the game. [Sofascore]
Even in terms of duels, he was first to most of them – winning seven of his nine ground duels. He also made three interceptions and as many tackles and was our best player on the pitch along with Callum Robinson.
We’re hoping to see more of the same from him in the coming games as he could play a pivotal role in guiding us back to the Premier League.
