Pat Frost singles Sam Johnstone out for praise after Luton Town win
West Brom secured a hard-fought 3-2 win over Luton Town at The Hawthorns on Saturday in their second Championship game of the new season.
The Baggies had gone 3-nil up, but the visitors attempted to mount a comeback in the last 20 minutes of the game.
Luton were dealt an injury blow after Jordan Clark was stretchered off in the second-half following a collision with Baggies goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The England international promptly stopped the game and beckoned on the medical team.
Former West Brom kit man Pat Frost was impressed with the gesture, taking to his personal Twitter account to post: “Way too exciting at the end, a win is a win though. Brilliant from Sam J to basically stop the game when the ref played on.
“Hope the lad is ok. Brilliant to see Brunty there today….it’s gonna be a great ride this season. See you Wednesday”

Johnstone did the right thing to stop the game even when he was not obliged to.
Clark has him to thank for the kind gesture, and we are pleased to have such an excellent human stay with us for another season.
Luton almost benefited from the long pause in play caused by their winger’s treatment on the pitch, and we have to admit that their resurgence towards the end of the clash got us on the edge of our seats.
It was nerve-wracking, but thankfully we got the job done and bagged all important three points.
Having a quality goalie is a huge boost, and we cannot wait for the West Brom ace to officially sign an extension.
Earning instant promotion with him would be massive, and we have shown over the last two games that we are capable of returning to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Valerien Ismael and his men now need to repeat such performances and much more over the course of the next 44 league games.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies want to sign CONCACAF Gold Cup winner with club open to offers.
