Valerien Ismael thanks West Brom fans for warm reception against Luton

West Brom head coach Valerien Ismael has reacted on Twitter after managing his first Championship game at The Hawthorns against Luton Town.

The Frenchman guided the Baggies to a 3-2 victory over the visitors and was pleased with the reception he got in front of the home fans.

Ismael took to his personal Twitter account after the game to send this message to West Brom fans.

“A huge thank you for the warm welcome. The awesome atmosphere and your amazing support during taking the knee ..#COYB

“First win. Onto Wednesday”

Welcome gaffer

We have got the perfect man for the job, and chances are we will be playing Premier League football this time next season.

While our former director of football Luke Dowling had reservations over his style of play and was not going to appoint him, CEO Xu Ke and owner Guochuan Lai wasted no time bringing him in once he left, and we are glad the club made that decision.

It is still early days but the last two games have shown that promotion is a huge possibility under Ismael.

West Brom have a brilliant style of play now and things are only going to get better.

He came close to promotion with Barnsley last season and will be inspired to go one better this term.

West Brom have provided him with the chance to become a Premier League manager, and he only needs just one or two more additions this summer to get going properly.

We host Sheffield United on Wednesday and it is expected to be a tough test given that most of their players from last season’s Premier League campaign are still very much in the squad.

A victory over them will be great and we trust West Brom players and Ismael to get the job done against such a quality opposition.
