Don Goodman blown away by Alex Mowatt goal v Sheffield United

West Brom cruised to a huge victory over Sheffield United in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

The Baggies were at their very best as they sent out a warning to the rest of the second-tier against our fellow relegated side from last season.

Alex Mowatt scored his first goal for the Albion, and it was a brilliant finish at the end of a lovely flowing move after winning back possession high up.

Don Goodman was blown away by what he was watching at The Hawthorns, and even insisted there was more to come.

Speaking during live commentary on Sky Sports, the controversial pundit was full of Baggies fever as the night went on, especially that Mowatt goal.

“Terrific run from Alex Mowatt,” he said.

“My word, they play it right, and it’s a perfectly weighted pass and good finish from Mowatt.”

West Brom

Perfect.

Mowatt is proving to be one of the best signings in the entire Championship this summer, there is no competition.

The former Barnsley man has settled in perfectly with his former boss, and the Frenchman is reaping the rewards of bringing in those that he already knows.

The midfielder was everywhere alongside Jake Livermore, and the goal was exactly what he deserved for his performances so far this season.

If this is what we can expect every single week, then we are in for a wild ride this season, and we can’t wait already.

Mowatt will be key to that, and we can’t wait to see more at The Hawthorns.
