Spezia make M’Bala Nzola available with West Brom interested

West Brom are readying a move to sign Spezia forward M’Bala Nzola before the end of the August window.

Citta Della Spezia has reported that the Serie A club no longer has the Angolan in their plans for the upcoming season.

It is suggested on their website that the Baggies, as well as Fulham are leading the race for his signature.

Nzola was labelled as one of the surprise packages of Italian football last season, managing to score 11 goals to fire his side to promotion.

Despite that, he has been shown the exit door, and it may be time to take advantage of that for the Baggies.

Tancredi Palmeri shared the initial links through the week, reporting that it may only cost just below £6million.

Described as a “beast“, Nzola could certainly be the one to add something different in the final third at The Hawthorns.

Priorities?

After letting Romaine Sawyers walk through the exit door to join Stoke on loan, it would be no surprise to see the Baggies focus on a midfielder.

Behind Alex Mowatt and Jake Livermore, there are no senior options that can come on and make a difference in central midfield.

Although not favoured by many, Kenneth Zohore is a senior option who can cover in the final third should worst come to the worst.

That may not please many Baggies fans, though, and we want to see a midfielder and attacker come through the door in the next fortnight.

We have the money, it’s time to use it.
