West Brom Super Fans react to reports Daryl Dike loan deal could be pricey

This is part of a regular series from our panel of West Brom Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our West Brom News Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around The Hawthorns.

Express and Star journalist Luke Hatfield has told Football Transfer Tavern that getting Daryl Dike on loan could be expensive for West Brom.

The Orlando City striker has been linked with a reunion with Valerien Ismael after their time together at Barnsley last season.

A permanent move does not appear to be on the cards for the 21-year-old U.S.A international, but a temporary deal would cost some quid.

We asked our esteemed panel of West Brom Super Fans whether the club should go for Dike nonetheless, and here is what they had to say.

Good deal

Getting a temporary deal done for a striker that can massively boost our promotion chances should not be an issue.

Dike and Ismael seemed to enjoy their working relationship at Oakwell, and the Baggies board should be looking to reunite them.

A return of nine goals in 19 appearances is as impressive as they come, and we definitely could do with such a quality goalscorer in our attack.

The Hawthorns outfit need to pay for promotion, and the significant loan fees the MLS side would ask for their striker should be the least of our worries.

Nevertheless, Ismael has the final say, and the Frenchman is ready to end the summer transfer window without another signing if it comes to that.

We are the team to beat in the Championship right now, but the squad depth is not looking formidable enough.

West Brom should be aiming to win the league at a canter, and having quality players on the bench to provide quality cover every now and then also goes a long way.
