West Brom duo test positive for COVID-19 this week
West Brom have been rocked in their preparation for the Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Valerien Ismael will have been hoping for a major scalp after a lightning start to the season, but that may now be a struggle.
The Frenchman has confirmed on Tuesday that two of his first-team players have tested positive for COVID-19.

As well as this, Ismael also shared that Matt Clarke will be missing for up to six weeks with the injury picked up at Blackburn.
Joe Chapman shared the major blow from the press conference on his personal Twitter account, with a Baggies duo now in isolation.
“It’s six weeks for Matt Clarke, Val has confirmed today,” he wrote.
“On top of that, two West Brom first-team players are isolating having tested positive for COVID. Full story to follow.”
Depth.
This is a major issue.
We cannot afford any more absentees with only one week remaining in the window to make more additions to the squad.
Romaine Sawyers leaving has left us with no senior cover in midifeld and the final third couldn’t look any worst behind Callum Robinson.
Ismael must surely be pleading with the board to go out and get the business done now, there is money available from selling Matheus Pereira, and it must be used.
Should we get battered tomorrow after being forced to use academy players in shallow areas because of this, it should light an urgency in our transfer strategy.
Let’s hope it isn’t too bad.
