West Brom predicted XI v Arsenal

West Brom welcome Arsenal to The Hawthorns on Wednesday evening as they begin their Carabao Cup campaign.

The Baggies have enjoyed a sensational start to the Championship season, and will be looking to add a Premier League scalp to that.

Valerien Ismael will have a selection headache on his hands, with his intense style surely taking its toll on his players slightly.

West Brom

Sam Johnstone will start in goal, with the England international looking set to remain at The Hawthorns for another year at least.

Darnell Furlong and Conor Townsend have been integral to this new style, with their attacking outlet more important than their defending at times.

Matt Clarke will miss out with his injury, meaning Cedric Kipre will come in to replace him at the back rather than Semi Ajayi.

Kyle Bartley and Dara O’Shea are becoming real weapons on an attacking front, and Ismael will likely have those two as some of the first names on the teamsheet.

West Brom

Alex Mowatt and Jake Livermore are simply undroppable right now.

There are no senior cover options, especially after the departure of Romaine Sawyers in the past week.

Ismael will want to bring changes to his front three in order to keep his squad fresh, with Matt Phillips and Grady Diangana starting.

Callum Robinson has been run into the ground so far this season, meaning Kenneth Zohore may be handed yet another chance in the final third.

Here is how we expect them to line up…
