Jordan Hugill at Hawthorns this evening, could play for West Brom this weekend

West Brom have finally announced the loan signing of Norwich City forward Jordan Hugill on Wednesday.

The Baggies take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup this evening at The Hawthorns, but it has come to early to see a debut.

Hugill will be in the stands for this clash, but won’t feature for the Albion until the Championship returns this weekend.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Joe Chapman shared the latest on the new signing ahead of this evening as he could be officially unveiled to the crowd.

“Believe Hugill is at The Hawthorns this evening, but he’ll be in the stands,” he wrote.

“Expect he’ll be involved on Saturday.”

Ready to go.

Hugill may not be the big name that everyone was hoping for, but he comes in and adds serious competition in the final third.

There is no big fee involved or permanent clause, so should he fire in important goals that win points towards promotion no one will complain.

Many would have loved to have seen Hugill atleast among the substitutes against Arsenal to get him integrated into the squad.

That means Kenneth Zohore may get one more chance to improve, and if he doesn’t catch the eye, he could be shown the exit door this week.

With Peterborough coming up on Saturday and some positive COVID-19 tests in the squad, there could be a full debut on the horizon.
