West Brom boss Valerien Ismael has provided an update on transfers
West Brom manager Valerien Ismael has provided an update on transfers in his latest pre-match press conference.
The Baggies have started the season well and sit on ten points in second place in the league, but it appears as if the Frenchman wants to see his club add some more players.
Ismael has made a fantastic impression so far and has his West Brom side playing some great football, but he clearly wants to see more players arrive at the Hawthorns before the end of the transfer window.

He said: “We know behind the scenes what we have to do. We try, and we have some more days.
“We are calm. We don’t need to rush as we know exactly what we want.
“My expectation is that we can do something until the end. You never know because it’s always a difficult situation, but behind the scenes, Ken (chief executive) and Ian Pearce (head of recruitment) have done a great job so far.
“We try to do everything to make sure we can get the right players.”
Will West Brom be active?
This seems like a positive update from Ismael, who suggests that the Baggies will look to add to their squad.
Remember, they sold Matheus Pereira earlier this summer, so they should have funds from that deal to splash on some new players.
The Birmingham Mail seem to believe that Ismael will look to add a striker to his side though Callum Robinson has had a fantastic start to life with three goals in his first four league games.

However, another forward certainly wouldn’t go amiss as it is a long old season in the Championship and Ismael’s style of play is pretty relentless [The Athletic].
We will have to see what the Baggies do in the remainder of the window, but Ismael sounds confident that the club will complete some more business.
In other West Brom news, a set of first-team players have been ruled out due to COVID.
