West Brom make enquiry for Jack Hendry – report
West Brom have made an enquiry to sign Oostende defender Jack Hendry, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported on their website that the race is wide open as the window creeps closer to the Tuesday deadline.
Newcastle, Southampton and Burnley are all interested too, with a late-window swoop said to cost £4million.

Belgian side Oostende only made Hendry’s move from Celtic permanent this summer for £1.8million, but are open to an early profit.
After a summer shining at the EUROs with Scotland, the “stylish” defender caught the eye of many south of the border.
Valerien Ismael early wants his defenders to take the ball forward when possible, and Hendry proved his quality with a goal against the Netherlands ahead of that tournament.

Cover?
Given Matt Clarke has been ruled out for at least six weeks with that injury picked up at Blackburn last week, cover may be required.
Cedric Kipre or Semi Ajayi will step into that hole left behind, but neither have exactly been favoured so far by Ismael.
£4million would be the biggest signing at The Hawthorns this summer, and actually the first where money was spent.
The Baggies have used the free market effectively as ever, and that could have left some spare funds for a late-window swoop.
This is one to watch as the final couple of days tick away in this window, although it appears unlikely.
