West Brom to announce Kean Bryan signing imminently

West Brom are set to announce the signing of free-agent defender Kean Bryan imminently, according to John Percy.

The Telegraph journalist has shared the major news as the former Sheffield united completed his medical this morning.

Matt Clarke is still out injured and Dara O’Shea has been forced home early from international duty this week.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this afternoon, Percy shared the update that will leave many fans buzzing.

“West Brom transfer news: former Sheffield United defender Kean Bryan is joining the club on a free transfer after a medical earlier today.

“Adds defensive cover after injuries to O’Shea & Clarke.”

Smart.

With the medical done, this one should be announced imminently.

It is smart by the Baggies, who have acted very quickly to get the deal over the line and add more depth to the backline.

This is bad news for O’Shea, who must have clearly been given bad news regarding his injury this week – although there is a visit set for the specialist, he must have given an early judgement.

Valerien Ismael may have got this one done early to include him in the squad against Millwall on Saturday, and it could be a debut.

The Frenchman will throw anyone into the firing line, he proved that with his team against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, so Bryan must be prepared.

Bryan will have a full week of training behind him with the move all but done, let’s hope he gets the job done.
