West Brom got 'lucky' break with Kean Bryan transfer expected

West Brom are set to announce the signing of free-agent defender Kean Bryan at some stage on Tuesday.

Alan Nixon has insisted that the Baggies got “lucky” with the expected signing, with no one else taking advantage so far.

The Express and Star shared that the announcement was due on Tuesday, with the medical already being completed on Monday.

Nixon was questioned on the expected signing on his personal Twitter account late last night, and he gave a subtle verdict.

The reliable journalist clearly believes that it will be a good signing at The Hawthorns, and exactly what they need.

“Solid citizen,” he wrote.

“Lucky break all round with that one.”

Other clubs have also been linked with Bryan in recent weeks and months, but no one managed to get a free deal over the line.

Sheffield United themselves offered the defender another contract at Bramall Lane after his breakthrough into their starting XI, but that was turned down.

After Dara O’Shea’s injury, Valerien Ismael will have been counting his lucky stars on the transfer front that Bryan was still available.

Now, the Albion will be getting a player with Premier League experience behind him and ready to get back there at the first time of asking.

Bryan will be desperate to get back into the thick of things and he could get his debut as early as Saturday against Millwall at The Hawthorns.

Let’s get this one announced and get straight to work, it’s time to get it done.
