Premier League and Bundesliga sides want West Brom starlet Reyes Cleary
Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Hoffenheim and some Premier League sides are monitoring West Brom striker Reyes Cleary, according to Sportsmail.
The 17-year-old is yet to sign his first professional contract at The Hawthorns, and that has alerted suitors, with clubs from Italy also keeping tabs on him.
Cleary was watched by scouts from the German clubs in August, and he bagged a brace for West Brom under-18s in their 5-2 loss to Chelsea.
He has continued to impress in the Premier League 2, and the Bundesliga sides have continued to keep an eye on him.
Hand him a pro deal!
West Brom have lost some of their talented academy products of recent, and they cannot afford to let the teenage sensation slip through their fingers.
The under-18s coach Peter Gilbert called Cleary a “powerful forward player with an eye for goal and is an excellent finisher” [WBA official website], and such a player could be tearing up the Premier League soon.
He has six goals in four appearances this term after ending last term with eight goals in 15 games in the under-18s Premier League.
The Baggies need to hand him a professional deal as soon as they can as the bigwigs are waiting to move on him.
With his physical style and built, the future is very bright for the youngster, and he is very much capable of saving the club millions in the future.
While he is still too young to make an impact on the senior team, Valerien Ismael should be inviting him to train with the first-team regularly.
Albion need to show that they have him their plans for the future, and he might not hesitate to leave if he is shown a clearer pathway to senior football elsewhere.
