Paul Merson & Jobi McAnuff stunned by Alex Mowatt for West Brom v Cardiff
West Brom playmaker Alex Mowatt scored one of the Championship goals of the season already in the 4-0 win at Cardiff last night.
Jobi McAnuff was left stunned as the summer signing unleashed a half-volley that rocketed into the top corner from outside the box.
The Baggies look back to their best as the win in Wales sent them soaring back to the top of the Championship.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the goal went in, McAnuff insisted that may be one of the best goals Mowatt has ever scored in his career.
“Wow, wow, wow,” he said.
“Alex Mowatt has scored some absolute crackers in his time, but I don’t know if he’s scored many as good as this.
“Half volley, catches it perfect, absolutely into the top corner – it’s an incredible strike.”
Paul Merson was one of those left applauding in the Sky Studio as he celebrated the rocket into the top corner.

Wow.
That is the perfect word to describe this strike.
Everyone watching, those in Cardiff, those at home will have gone as mental as us as that strike went soaring into the top corner.
We thought the playmaker had rattled home the goal of the season away at Blackburn earlier in the season, but this one may even better that.
Karlan Grant and Callum Robinson continue to fire in the goals we need, but if the likes of Matt Phillips and Mowatt continue to chip in with goals as they did last night, the top two should be no problem.
If Mowatt continues at this rate, the goal of the season reel could be fully occupied just by his strikes, hopefully on the way to promotion back to the Premier League.
These goals deserve to be at the highest level.
