Valerien Ismael delighted after West Brom thrash Cardiff City
West Brom manager Valerien Ismael believes that the best thing about the Baggies’ win over Cardiff City was the way the team imposed themselves.
The Baggies had been going through a bit of a sticky patch that had seen the goals dry up, but they were fantastic on Tuesday night and demolished Cardiff.
Goals from Alex Mowatt, Karlan Grant, Matt Phillips and an own goal ensured that West Brom secured their joint-biggest win of the season, and their manager was delighted with the way they played.

Speaking in his post-match press conference [Express & Star], he said: “We knew tonight the main focus was to get the ball down.
“We set the tone in the game, and we moved the ball quickly.
“All the goals were brilliant; it showed the confidence and mentality in the team. We have a great feeling. We work altogether.”
Great evening all round.
Considering this was the Frenchman’s birthday, we can’t imagine that he could have wished for a better present than such a complete performance.
The Baggies also kept their first clean sheet since they drew Derby County earlier this month, and they are in a strong position after ten games.
However, if results go against them tonight, then they will lose top spot but should stay second unless there is a massive goal difference swing.

This was arguably the Baggies’ best display under Ismael, and it seems as if that win over QPR could prove to be the turning point for the Baggies this season.
Stoke City will be a very tough match next, but we can imagine that confidence will be high, and we expect another good performance from West Brom.
