West Brom clash v Stoke on Friday set to break 18-month attendance record
Stoke City have reportedly sold over 21,000 tickets for their Friday night Championship clash against West Brom.
According to Stoke Sentinel, the club’s record since fans were allowed back in after the Covid-19 lockdowns was 21,346 in their 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest,
A game against the league leaders from the West Midlands is certainly a big deal and fans have reciprocated by purchasing tickets for the clash.

Time for another win
Sam Allardyce walked out at the end of last season as the Baggies got relegated to the Championship.
The former England manager felt that he did not want to spend a season in the second tier fighting promotion, and the club then decided to bring in Valerien Ismael as his replacement.
While he may not have been the first choice appointment, or one that would get the fans excited, thus far, he has done everything that must get the Hawthorns faithful buzzing.

His West Brom side have scored a staggering 20 goals in the league this season – no team have scored more in England’s top four divisions.
He has brought in a high-intensity pressing style that has helped get the best of this side.
While fans would have preferred to win every single game, they must be pleased with the current table as the Baggies find themselves in pole position to secure promotion.
