West Brom fans mock Mick McCarthy in 4-0 win v Cardiff
Mick McCarthy must have nightmares about West Brom.
On Tuesday night while in charge of Cardiff, the ex-Wolves boss took on the Baggies for the first time since his 2012 sacking at Molineux when Albion won 5-1.
And it wasn’t the best of reunions for McCarthy, who saw his side lose 4-0 at home against West Brom as they returned to the top of the Championship table.

Albion fans regularly mocked McCarthy throughout the 4-0 hammering with Birmingham Mail journalist Joe Chapman reporting they sung: “Mick McCarthy, it’s happened again.”
PA journalist Phil Blanche also reported that Baggies fans chanted “you’re getting sacked in the morning” at McCarthy – and even Cardiff fans joined in.
There’s even a video that’s emerged from the home supporters at Cardiff which shows this.
It’s happened again
McCarthy has managed against West Brom twice in the last nine years and on both occasions, he’s seen his side lose by four goals in front of their home fans.
Last time this happened, the Barnsley-born manager was sacked by Wolves as they continued their way towards relegation.
And based on the fact Cardiff fans have seemingly had enough of McCarthy, the same thing could happen again in South Wales.
Cardiff are 16th in the Championship table and have lost their last four matches, conceding nine in their last two outings.
It doesn’t look good for Mick, but things are looking very promising for Valerien Ismael.

Albion fans haven’t shown much patience towards Val’s style of play and his in-game decision-making.
Players have been booed off at half-time on a couple of occasions now and the substitution of Grady Diangana against QPR last week also clearly irked some sections of The Hawthorns.
But we’re now back to winnings, picking up maximum points in our last two matches and are sat top of the table without suffering a defeat.
Patience is needed.
In other West Brom news, an ex-referee was baffled by a “really bad call” that happened in this Albion game.
