Hal Robson-Kanu responds as West Brom fans destroy Kenneth Zohore

It is safe to say that West Brom fans do not get along with Kenneth Zohore at The Hawthorns since his time at the club.

After arriving for big money from Cardiff, the big Danish attacker as never consistently performed on the pitch and more importantly in the final third.

Despite managers coming and go, Zohore has stayed in the background and fans are starting to have had enough.

Hal Robson-Kanu was one of those to leave the club in the summer, and fans have been leaving comments on his social media claiming he should have stayed instead of Zohore.

Writing on his personal Instagram account, the Wales international stood up for his former teammate emphatically.

“As much as I would have loved to have stayed, it was a mutual decision, the owners and myself had a different vision for the future,” he wrote.

“When Zohore works hard, he’s great. Just needs help in understanding what working hard consistently looks like.”

Needs help?

We’re sorry, but no professional footballer should need in understanding what it means to work hard consistently.

This is why it will never work out for the Dane under Valerien Ismael, who demands that as a minimum from his players in matches and training.

The likes of Callum Robinson are busting their guts in the final third on and off the ball, and they are reaping the rewards – something Zohore is not.

With January approaching in a couple of months, it appears as though the only way is out as things stand and we don’t expect that to change.

It should also open the door for Ismael and his team to bring in one, if not two new faces in the winter window to strengthen our chances of promotion – bring it on.
