Ismael sends message to West Brom fans ahead of another TV fixture

West Brom travel to Swansea City on Wednesday and the game is one of the four fixtures selected by Sky Sports for live television broadcast in October.

The Baggies are having a lot of their games being moved so they can be broadcast on TV [], but the fans have continued to turn up in their numbers home and away despite the inconvenience that comes with the changes.

Valerien Ismael is grateful for the consistent support his side continues to get from the West Brom faithful, but he is quick to point out the constant scheduling of games means his men are doing something right.

“It shows that we are doing a lot of right things,” the Frenchman told Express and Star when asked if moving the games for live broadcast purposes is a good thing.

“It shows the impact of West Bromwich Albion. But it doesn’t change our purpose. We understand we can’t change when we play.

“It’s difficult, it’s a challenge for everyone. They are always massive for us, we get huge support – especially away from home.

“When you think we have played 12 games so far, nine times we have played a night game, we have had four games on a Friday night.

“It’s difficult for our fans but they support us anyway, in any circumstance. We need to put in the right performance for them.”

Good and bad

Fans are having to make a lot of sacrifices just to watch West Brom play home and away, and it is understandable when they get frustrated once results do not go how they want them to.

They deserve to see the players give it their all every game, and Ismael knows his side cannot afford to disappoint them.

No matter when and where fixtures are fixed, the supporters will always find a way to attend games, and despite difficulties, having matches on TV is good news for the club.

The more the fixtures selected for broadcast, the more money The Hawthorn outfit get to make when the TV money gets paid.

Supporters outside of the country and across the world will also have the opportunity to see their team in action, and the club can definitely have no complaints.

In other West Brom news, a Baggies legend has urged Ismael to make clinical January addition.
