Andy Hinchcliffe destroys West Brom star Semi Ajayi v Fulham

West Brom were put under immense pressure in their Championship clash against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Despite that, the Baggies managed to stay resolute and create chances of their own as the first-half at Craven Cottage.

Andy Hinchcliffe wasn’t impressed with Semi Ajayi though, with the defender giving away pointless free-kicks in his own third.

Speaking live on Sky Sports commentary this afternoon, Hinchcliffe was not impressed with the Nigerian international.

“Its poor from Ajayi, it’s naive,” he said.

“A silly challenge – That’s what Kebano wants, stay on your feet.”

Not good enough.

This isn’t one of those things that has suddenly been creeping in to the game of Ajayi, he just can’t seem to help it.

The officials were shocking in the opening half at Craven Cottage, but the yellow card for persistent fouling was probably the only thing we had no complaints about.

When you have the likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic sniffing around in the box, no matter good you are at set-pieces, you don’t concede them this frequently and easily.

Ajayi needs to take a good look at himself moving forward, especially with Dara O’Shea nearing his return from injury in the next couple of months.

Ismael will not be happy with what he has been watching in the first half, and we would love to be a fly on the wall of that dressing room.

There could be a real grilling for the likes of Ajayi who have simply not been good enough in such a big game.
