Taylor Gardner-Hickman made his Championship bow for West Brom against Hull City on Wednesday night, and he was very impressive in the 1-0 victory at The Hawthorns.

The versatile 19-year-old filled in at right wing-back and was brilliant containing the attacking threats of Tigers duo Keane Lewis-Potter and Callum Elder. He was also outstanding going forward.

Gardner-Hickman felt at home playing with and against the big boys, and Valerien Ismael would have been very pleased with what he saw.

We asked our esteemed panel of West Brom Super Fans what they thought about the teenager’s debut, and many agreed that he was terrific.

Here’s what they had to say.

Solid talent

The Baggies have had their ups and downs this season, and seeing Gardner-Hickman put in a show down that right was very pleasing.

While Hull were below par, that takes nothing away from the fact that the teenager had a great game.

He definitely deserves to be playing more for the senior team having featured twice so far for them, and it is safe to say that the future is very bright.

Darnell Furlong will be returning to the starting line-up for the Middlesbrough clash after missing midweek’s game through suspension.

However, West Brom fans can be confident that the squad have got a capable cover in Gardner-Hickman.

The Baggies academy graduate can also play on the left, and his versatility should help him see more action going forward this season.

He has been solid for the under-23s in the Premier League 2 and did not look out of place for the first-team.

Gardner-Hickman is definitely a Premier League star in the making.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies legend has urged Ismael to make Clinical January addition.
