Robert Snodgrass reacts to Townsend signing new West Brom deal
Robert Snodgrass is delighted that West Brom ace Conor Townsend has signed a new contract to keep him at The Hawthorns.
The former Scottish international tweeted on his personal account after the Baggies announced a new contract for Townsend.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a new deal that expires in 2025 and has increased his wage after a strong start to the season [The Athletic].
This news clearly pleased Snodgrass, who said: “Things you love to see. Congrats, Conor Townsend.”
Big day for Townsend.
This season, the former Hull City man has played as a centre-back and at left-wing-back, but he is more comfortable on the left.
Townsend has had a strong start to the season, and the new deal is totally deserved, in our opinion.
It is nice to see Snodgrass tweeting about it as well, and it is good to see that he is happy for the 28-year-old, which is nice.

Hopefully, the Baggies can follow this extension up with several other new contracts, which would allow Valerien Ismael to tie down more and more first team and youth players.
Townsend is at the peak of his career, and if the Baggies are to get promoted this season, he will need to be at his best in whatever position he finds himself in.
When he is at left-wing-back, he has a lot more freedom and hopefully, he will play there for most of the season as that is where he can do the most damage.
