West Brom in weekend scouting mission over Toulouse sensation Rhys Healey

West Brom are keeping a watchful eye over Toulouse centre-forward Rhys Healey, according to online news outlet TEAMtalk.

Healey, 26, was watched on Saturday [20/11/21] by Championship trio West Brom, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers, as well as three Premier League clubs, as he scored four goals in a 4-1 win over Sochaux at the Stadium Municipal.

It is claimed that Ligue 2 leader Toulouse could be tempted to cash in on the Manchester-born striker if a sizeable offer presents itself.

Overseas star

Healey is certainly making a name for himself over in France.

The ex-Cardiff City forward scored 15 goals for Toulouse in the second tier last season and, after just 15 Ligue 2 games this campaign, he is only three strikes behind that total.

It marks a change in fortunes from his time in England where, aside from a successful spell at MK Dons which saw him net 21 goals across two seasons, Healey struggled.

He played just 16 times (including four appearances in the Premier League) and scored only once for Cardiff across six seasons.

But he’s now fired Toulouse to the top of the Ligue 2 table as they eye promotion.

Healey has scored three more goals [12] than his nearest challenger, Auxerre’s Gaetan Charbonnier, in the race to be the division’s top goalscorer.

In other West Brom news, an ITV presenter has blasted this Alboin man & demanded this one signing after Tuesday’s draw at Blackpool.
