Jeff Stelling and Sky Sports pundit predict West Brom Championship clash v Reading
Jeff Stelling and Neil Mellor have both backed West Brom to beat Reading at The Hawthorns on Saturday (11 December).
The Sky Sports Soccer Saturday duo, making their predictions on the Super6 website today (10 December), believe the West Midlands side will stretch their unbeaten run to four games and ensure consecutive victories after last weekend’s (4 December) 2-1 win over Coventry.
Stelling predicts an Albion clean sheet in a 1-0 win while Mellor backs the Royals to grab a goal in a 2-1 defeat for the away side.

Friday nightmare
West Brom were rocked by multiple COVID cases on Friday (10 December) as Valerien Ismael confirmed positive tests for two members of his first-team squad [via Steve Madeley’s personal Twitter profile].
In fact, they are waiting to hear back about a third member of their side who could miss Saturday’s clash against Reading.
Ismael does not have the strongest and deepest squad at his disposal so a couple of key absences would act as a big blow to his plans.

The identities of the individuals has not yet been disclosed but it will be a cause for concern among the Baggies faithful.
Saturday’s opponents are in decent form, too, suffering just one loss in their last five games after four successive defeats prior.
One man to watch will be ex-England and Liverpool centre-forward Andy Carroll, who scored on his first start for the Berkshire club last month (27 November, v Swansea City).
In other West Brom news, Simon Jordan has launched into an on-air rant over a recent Albion controversy.
