West Brom want to sign Wigan forward Callum Lang
West Brom are interested in signing Wigan Athletic forward Callum Lang in January to solve their goalscoring issues, according to the Express and Star.
The Baggies currently sit in fourth in the Championship table, just two points behind Bournemouth in the automatic promotion places.
Despite their good position in the table, Valerien Ismael’s side have struggled to find the back of the net this season with just 30 goals scored in 23 games.

In the report by the Express and Star, West Brom have turned their attention to Wigan star Lang in a bid to boost their goalscoring woes.
The 23-year-old has scored 11 times this season for the Latics as they look to get back into the Championship.
With a loan move for Daryl Dike and a transfer for Cauley Woodrow on the table too, West Brom are certainly looking to add to their options in attack.

Options
The Baggies are in desperate need of goals and Lang would certainly offer them that quality in front of goal.
This is Lang’s third season already where he has reached double figures for goals, after previously hitting 10 on loan for Morecambe in League Two and hitting 16 for Oldham Athletic too.
Lang’s ability to play as a central striker or as a right-winger would give Ismael options in how to put him into the team.
The likelihood is that Lang isn’t the top option, with Woodrow and Dike having previously worked with Ismael but the finances of those deals could potentially make Lang more attractive.
It’s also possible that they keep Lang as a target for the future rather than immediately if one of their other targets is more attainable, which shows the club’s forward-thinking when it comes to recruitment.
