Confirmed West Brom starting XI v Derby County

West Brom have confirmed their starting XI for their Championship clash against Derby County this afternoon.

Valerien Ismael will be looking to end 2021 with a bang as he makes the short trip to the Rams.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Baggies have made two changes with Karlan Grant and Alex Mowatt returning positive lateral flows.

This is something that Valerien Ismael hasn’t had the chance to do much this season in the Championship.

Having a full squad available and the ability to make minimal changes is a luxury that we haven’t had in this league, with things thrown up into the air once again.

After a full month of COVID and injury issues ravaging through our numbers, it is starting to get tiresome seeing this types of updates.

West Brom

Must win.

After this weekend saw Fulham and Blackburn both see their matches postponed, this is a huge opportunity.

The Baggies have the chance to jump to second ahead of their next game against Preston being postponed, putting the pressure on those around them.

We failed to do that last week against Barnsley, and it cost us the chance to be able to go top with a win today – that mistake can’t be made again.

The current top three could also have more games cancelled in the next week, meaning they will be playing their games-in-hand through midweeks.

It is time to put our foot down.
