Joseph Chapman shares remaining January transfer plans for West Brom

Joseph Chapman believes that West Brom have already wrapped up their ‘significant’ business in the January transfer window.

The Baggies acted swiftly in the January transfer window and secured their main target in the shape of Daryl Dike on New Year’s Day.

Any other signings will be determined by any departures from the Hawthorns throughout the remainder of the winter window.

“In short, it’s likely to be a quiet few weeks.” Said Chapman as per Birmingham Live.

“They’ve pushed the boat out to secure Dike and deliver him to Valerien Ismael in the hope that he’ll be able to provide the goals they’ve been so desperately lacking up to now.

“Ismael is satisfied, for the most part, with his group for now. It’s still a long way off from exactly what he wants it to be, and he recently urged patience in the restructuring and building of it under his stewardship.”

Efficient

Albion fans would be dreaming if they thought Lai Guochuan would be interested in any more unprovoked business during what is left of the January transfer window.

Honestly, it came as a shock to many West Brom fans that they signed Daryl Dike, especially in the manner in which they did. So, it is no surprise at all when faced with the likely potential of no more incomings this window.

Bar a replacement for Sam Johnstone if he leaves, the Baggies do not need anyone else.

The one obvious weakness in this squad has now been dealt with, scoring goals. The Albion embarrassingly hold the record of the fewest goals in the top six with just 31 goals in 25 games.

The introduction of Dike is more than enough for the fans and should be enough to turn the Baggies fortune around Infront of goal.

The window isn’t over yet but the Baggies will be satisfied with what they have seen so far.

In other Albion news, Sam Johnstone not likely to leave West Brom in January – Joe Chapman.
