Several League One clubs eye loan deal for West Brom starlet Tulloch

Alan Nixon has reported that several clubs are interested in signing West Brom starlet Rayhaan Tulloch in January.

Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood are said to be interested in a loan deal for the 20-year-old this month.

The Albion youngster shone as West Brom’s reserves beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the Premier League 2 on Monday (17th January), notching a goal and an assist.

Writing on his personal Twitter, Nixon said: “Sheff Wed. Fleetwood. Trying to get young Tulloch on loan from West Brom.

“Needs game time. Stood out for the ‘ressies’ last night.”

Tulloch needs to test himself with consistent first-team football. He is at the crucial stage in his career where he needs to gain experience to make the development from the youth set-up into the senior side.

There were calls for the Englishman to be given a shot in the Albion first team amid their goalscoring crisis, but the introduction of Daryl Dike quickly diminished those chances.

Truthfully, he probably isn’t quite ready for Championship action just yet so making a step down into League One would be a great move for the forward.

Tulloch is certainly a player for the future at the Hawthorns, but he must prove his worth on loan first. The raw talent and work rate are clear to see but he must prove himself playing with higher stakes than he currently is at reserve level.

The remainder of the season will shape the rest of his Albion career and the striker must make the decision to go and push himself out of his comfort zone in order to come back stronger.
