Hal Robson-Kanu reacts on Twitter when told to return to West Brom amid Daryl Dike injury
Hal Robson-Kanu has laughed off suggestions of returning to West Brom on a short-term basis while Daryl Dike is injured.
While making his full debut for the Baggies in their 3-0 win over Peterborough on Saturday, Dike was forced off with a hamstring injury and is set to miss eight weeks of action.
It means Valerien Ismael is effectively back to square one in his efforts to strengthen the Albion squad this month and some fans have been calling for free agent Robson-Kanu, 32, to return.

On Wednesday [26 January], Robson-Kanu tweeted an inspirational post about motivation, which led to an Albion fan asking if he fancies signing an eight-week contract at The Hawthorns to cover for Dike.
Robson-Kanu, who was released by the Baggies in the summer and is still without a club, simply replied by saying “haha”, before adding a kiss emoji.
Forget about it
West Brom have just days left until the transfer window closes and the squad is no better now than it was in December.
Dike’s arrival from Orlando City was a good move by the club. It remains to be seen how he performs, but it made sense to sign him with Ismael crying out for a new striker.
However, Albion’s woes are far from solved – even if Dike stayed fit.
Of course, Ismael should be on the lookout for yet another striker now so he can still get rid of Jordan Hugill or Kenneth Zohore (or both).

Is Robson-Kanu the answer?
No, he isn’t.
West Brom should not be looking to solve their issues with scoring goals by signing a striker who’s not only been out of the game for half a year, but also is well known for not being able to score.
Forget about HRK. There are other strikers out there than ones who used to play for the Albion.
In other West Brom news, there’s a new signing on the cards at the Baggies with the club keeping things under wraps for now.
