West Brom could turn to Dwight Gayle to replace Daryl Dike
Former West Brom striker Dwight Gayle could be considered an option to replace new signing Daryl Dike this month.
According to Express and Star, Gayle is known well by the club hierarchy and they could potentially look to bring him in.
Currently plying his trade at Newcastle, he is deemed surplus to requirements there and a move could benefit all three parties.

Shouldn’t be considered
Signing Gayle isn’t going to be the necessary impetus the Baggies need to kick start their promotion push.
He’s a player who’s already past 30 and long past his best, which could be a problem for Valerien Ismael.
The Frenchman likes his forwards to be mobile and Gayle may not have that his locker anymore.
The likes of Liam Delap should be looked at the Baggies hierarchy as he’s actually a young and hungry player who will stop at nothing to get better.

He is also fighting for his future at Manchester City so could use this loan spell to find his way into Pep Guardiola’s long-term plans at the Etihad Stadium.
Whether or not that’s the route the club turns to remains to be seen as goals are a big problem at the Hawthorns and another striker needs to be signed before the window closes.
