View: Valerien Ismael’s West Brom future should be in doubt
Yet another dismal display, no goals scored and no points won. It is becoming a trend at West Brom and Valerien Ismael’s position is coming under fire.
Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Millwall was possibly an even worse result than the home loss to Preston in midweek to the same scoreline.
Baggies fans are becoming more and more disgruntled and they are in danger of falling out of the playoffs altogether if they don’t do something soon.

Former Hull City manager Phil Brown knows all about kind of position and he could see the struggles from afar against Millwall.
“It’s the hardest part of management,” Brown said on the BBC’s Football Daily Podcast, “recognising you’re in that freefall and understanding it’s a difficult place to stop the slide.
“All of these things are not good signs for a manager in terms of West Bromwich Albion getting back to the Premier League.
“The supporters are not in sync with the manager and the style of play. Consequently, you’re under pressure straight away as a player.
“When it when to one, it looked as if they had nothing to offer and at 2-0 it looks like they’ve laid down and given up.”

There seems to be no encouragement coming out of the Hawthorns whoever you ask at the moment and Ismael’s demeanour has been that of a beaten man for a few weeks now.
The Frenchman has a major decision to make now in his style of play that has not gone down well with the Baggies supporters because if form continues like this, he won’t have much of a future at the club.
Now is the time the board need to either back him or sack him frankly because this current group of players are not capable of executing the Ismael way like Barnsley were last season.
With every dropped point now, pressure will grow further on Ismael and he is close to cracking already, as are the board.
