Joseph Masi shares latest update on Valerien Ismael’s West Brom future
Joseph Masi has claimed that he expects one or two West Brom players to leave the club on loan on the deadline day.
A lot has been said and reported about Valerien Ismael’s future following their 2-0 defeat against Millwall in the Championship [29 January].
However, the Express and Star journalist has suggested that he has got no concrete information on Ismael’s future at the moment.

Masi wrote on Twitter: “Appreciate everyone’s heads are elsewhere. But I’ve got no concrete information on Val’s future at the minute despite endless hours of trying.
“In terms of deadline day, I’m expecting a player or two could leave on loan. But otherwise it’s looking quiet on the transfer front.”
Borrowed time?
The defeat against Millwall was gut-wrenching.
The fans are getting disgruntled with every poor performance and there is a genuine fear now that the club may fall out of the playoffs if they don’t arrest the slump quickly.
At the moment, it’s hard to see any positive coming out of the Hawthorns.
Ismael’s body language gives a feeling of a beaten man. He has picked up a row with club goalkeeper Sam Johnstone which hasn’t gone down well among the fans.

His style of football is too predictable and if this continues, West Brom are in real danger of destroying all the good work they’ve done till now.
As it stands, the club may not sack him on the deadline day but another poor result or performance could see the end of him. It’s time for the board to either back him or sack him.
