West Brom boss Ismael flies to Germany to be with family
Valerien Ismael has retreated to Germany to visit his family amid ongoing speculation over the Frenchman’s West Brom future, according to the Express and Star.
With Albion’s promotion push faltering further with a defeat at The Den on Saturday (January 29), the 46-year-old’s job is said to be in ‘serious jeopardy’.
Ismael is expected back any day now after flying out to see his family with a meeting to discuss the Baggies boss’ future likely.

Decision time
This isn’t something that should be read too much into.
Ismael has frequently jetted off to Germany to gain a little bit of respite away from the stresses of football.
You can’t really blame him for wanting to spend a little bit of time with his family considering how hard the situation is for him at the moment.
The truth is, he, the fans and the players can all be saved a lot of heartaches if they make a decision on his future.

It is quite evident he isn’t the man for the job and week by week the likelihood of Albion being promoted takes a huge hit.
If it weren’t for the teams below West Brom either losing or not playing over the weekend, they would be out of the playoff places which would surely create a sense of urgency at the club.
It’s almost as if the senior members of staff want to ignore the team’s awful form and lack of ideas on how to change it until it is too late.
