West Brom confirm the departure of Snodgrass by ‘mutual consent’
West Brom have parted ways with winger Robert Snodgrass, 34, by ‘mutual consent’ as confirmed on the club’s website.
The Scotland International had made just four starts under Valerien Ismael and only 15 in total after signing at the start of last year’s January transfer window.
The Baggies announced late on deadline day that he had departed the Hawthorns.

They wrote: “The club thanks Robert for his efforts and wishes him well in his future career.”
Inevitable
The Journeyman’s time at the Hawthorns has come to a swift and abrupt end.
Aged 34, Snodgrass has scored an impressive 110 goals and has made 573 career appearances with eight teams including West Ham, Aston Villa and Norwich.
It’s fair to say he is an experienced professional, something Albion could have certainly used during their push for Premier League football.

With that being said the Scot barely made an impact on the pitch at the Hawthorns during his time at the club but his presence in the dressing room could have been used.
He was promoted through the play offs with Hull in 2016 and his experience could have made a huge impact in and around the squad.
It’s a shame Snodgrass didn’t get to link up with former teammate Andy Carroll, but his former Hammers teammate is there to make a difference, unlike him.
The supposed fallout between the player and manager never works out, so getting one off the books was always going to be the best plan of action.
